Is Nick Pineault A Scam?

It’s been 3 weeks since I launched my new program, The Truth About Fat Burning Foods. So far, the feedback has been nothing short of overwhelming. More than 7,000 people have grabbed the program so far and decided to learn the truth about food, and to transform their fattening kitchen forever.

(That’s my main excuse for not updating the blog or “forgetting” to answer emails for a couple of days straight)

The hilarious thing when you launch an online product like TAFBF (let me shorten the title this way, please!) is that all of a sudden you see what kind of stuff people are looking for to verify that you are the real deal.

Looking at some stats with my fiancée and business partner Gen (you’ll hear a ton more from her very shortly), we found very amusing search terms like “Nick Pineault Scam”, or even “Truth About Fat Burning Foods Nick Pineault Free” for folks out there that want to rip off my program.

That made me wonder: What kind of websites people looking to find out if I’m the real deal or not come across? And the answer is: Affiliate web sites that recommend my program wholeheartedly, but often just to make money.

Am I A Scam or Am I Legit?

The more popular my program becomes, the more I’m going to receive hate mail. Like this one woman who sent me a long email telling me that I was insane and that I “WENT TOO FAR” (everything was in caps…). What the f$%? does that even mean? That we should not open the Pandora’s box that’s our food supply and get informed? Non-sense.

But some people send me love emails too. Like this one lady that told me that she was finally ready to take control of her health and eating habits, and that even got her stubborn husband to change what he likes!

Now, if you’re reading this and wondering if sticking around here will make you feel like you have to send me hate mail or love mail, I thought I might tell you more about me and let you make up your own mind.

Who I am: My name is Nick Pineault, and I’m just a normal guy that now lives in Montreal, Quebec. My passion for nutrition, fat loss and health has grown over the last few years, until I decided to make a living out of it (or at least try).

What my big certifications are: None. I have a Bachelors in communications, but no fancy nutrition paper to show that I’m the real deal. While for some this is concerning, for me that’s the proof that you don’t NEED classic education to become an expert in a subject.

EDITED 2013-10-29: After receiving some important feedback about how I should not put every health professional in the same basket, I decided to remove this sentence: “The big proof is that most doctors and even nutritionists these days have no clue of what they’re talking about…“, simply because it was stupid and exaggerated.

And like I said HERE, a lot of docs and nutritionists unfortunately still believe in certain nutrition myths that I think need to be dispelled once and for all.

How I make money: Let’s be very transparent here. Like everyone out there, I have to pay bills. In this online business, I do so by selling my information products, and recommending products as an affiliate. Supplements and food products are part of that.

That being said, I will NEVER recommend a product I don’t use for myself and that I would not recommend to my own mom. That’s how serious I am about that stuff.

Why you should listen to me: Because I take the time to make up my own mind on everything I read instead of rehashing old information like most bloggers and health nuts do. That means I spend double the time to double check everything, but that I do so because I want to provide information that is as close to the truth as possible.

I spent more than 6 months working hours in the morning (starting at 3:30 am a lot of times) to write TAFBF. Not to brag or to show how insane I might be, but just to show you that I do care and want to provide legit information.

Why I’m not always right: Because no one is. Like you, I’m always learning. If you think I’m wrong about something, feel free to give me a good verbal slap, but make sure to give me your sources and to keep the tone friendly and respectful. I’m very open-minded about different approaches that are the closest to what science and experience tell us, and I expect you to be too.

If you read this entire page and still feel like sending me hate mail instead of bringing something valuable to the debate, I suggest you leave this page and go on with your life.

But if you think this website has the potential of providing you with good tips and tricks on how to lose weight naturally, shop smarter, eat better and feel awesome, then make sure you subscribe to my newsletter just below.

You’ll also get my 5 minute diet makeover free bonus… the best way to start doing your own kitchen makeover if you ask me.

Truthfully,

Nick

Wow, great post. I’m not a customer but a potential affiliate and wanted to make certain that I did my homework before placing any ads on my site related to this product.

Just so you know, the way I found your blog was on a Google search for “Nick Pineault scam” to see what popped up, lol. I respect your honesty and I hope the sales continue.

Best Wishes from the crew at LifeisCrunchy.com :)

      Hey Roy,

Thanks for your comments! That’s exactly the way I wanted people to find the blog.

Too often authors of online products end up being pushed by dozens of “review” affiliate sites, but I’ve felt like it would be better if the author himself tried to show that he’s human :)

      Nick

    Hey Nick,
I never saw this post. I actually had to search for your site once and I saw the scam thing… I feel bad that some people are so narrow minded or just want to make money off someone else.
Kid, That is everywhere and you will find it along your life time. Just fight them back… Ignore them if possible.
We love reading you and Gen. My husband, Richard and I learned so much from you both. You did help us to change bad habits into much better ones. Our doctor was very happy to give us both the blood test results. I told him about you and he was eager to read your posts. I guess this is my way of saying thank you for helping us.

I didn’t know where to send this message, I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you sending the information to my email. I am having one problem with the videos, I can see them but I can’t hear them. I am sorry to include my problem with my compliment but I am so delinquent with technology, but I am trying.
    Thanks again,
    Kathleen

Hi Kathleen! Well first, thanks for your nice compliment, we really appreciate it! :) Second, I’m guessing you’re talking about the Video Series we made for our secret project? If yes, you’re the first person to report a problem with the sound. Because of that, I’m pretty sure the problem is coming from your computer.

Just to be super sure, are your speakers on mute? (I know, silly question…)
